I always end up missing this forum during my sabbaticals. It is somewhat disappointing to return during a lull in activity, but hopefully this is temporary.

My politics have taken a left turn since I was last here.

Finally a question of procedure: should I post my long ethical essay under guest rants or the morality section, or does it really matter?

Welcome back! With the risk of sounding extremely cheesy, I've missed your company. Smile Indeed, the forum has been quiet lately, but it's been so for good reasons. However, it seems that Burd, a.k.a. Mephistopheles, has abandoned the forum, so I think a renaissance is possible.

I'll be damned. Shocked

There's more status in posting in the Guest Rants section. Wink

Hah, I missed you too IO. Very Happy

Yes, it's true. I'd only be considered a socialist here in the states, but a real job and some courses dealing with the plight of those left behind here and elsewhere made me realize that pretty much every single one of my former beliefs was a load of horseshit. Not too mention doublethink: help is harm, apathy is beneficence, etc.
