Let's take an uncomplicated theory and turn it into a can of worms...an interesting can of worms... Socialism runs counter to Communism in theory and practice Given: Socialism is supposedly just a transitional phase on the way to Communism. Given: The State will 'whither away' and cease to exist when Communism is achieved Theory: Socialism will never lead to Communism because Socialism requires an ever expanding government. This countermands the requirement and goal of Communism of the complete elimination of the state. Socialism in practice and theory can never lead to Communism primarily because with every new act of a Socialist government a new bureaucracy is created to enforce the socialistic scheme. More resources in terms of Capital are consumed by the government in the process - governments can only consume, they cannot create; governments can't give the people anything that they haven't already taken from the people. Socialism seeks to alter human nature which is a fools errand because human nature cannot be changed any more than you can change the nature of a line of ants to make them dance a Can-Can. Once governments (and the people in the bureaucracy) steal power from the people, they will never voluntarily give it up. Revolution will only result in starting a new cycle leading to more power struggles (viz: The Soviet Union). Socialist and pseudo-Communist systems always fail primarily because the former destroys an economy and the latter cannot exist because no system can exist without a governing body or structure that is in fact a government. Conclusion: Communism in its true form is a pipe dream due to fact that the state can never whither away and cease to exist. Discuss...there are no wrong answers. Let's see some original ideas. Think outside the box.

Use the search engine and you'll see that this issue has been discussed at length in this forum already, including by yours truly. So far, you haven't brought up a single original point in any of your posts. In essence, you have nothing to contribute with to the forum.

My goals have been achieved: You have shown that you are dogmatic in your thinking, lack basic political knowledge, can't debate properly or rebut arguments, and have to resort to provocation to get attention. You see, for the moment being, my and carldiesturmer's objective is to show visitors that not all of us are libertarian loonies. What you think of us is completely irrelevant.

If it wasn't made perfectly clear in my post, what you think of us is totally irrelevant. There are plenty of other political forums out there, so why don't you frequent one of those instead if you think that we are such unbearable cretins? Or do you secretely long for our attention and respect...?

Improve your basic English expression, so you don't sound so dumb when hurling a zinger about about someone's intellect.

Your debate amounts to clarifying your stupid statements and ignorant generalizations about people, ideologies and social classes.
