there is a book called the republic of plato. It was written by a guy named plato and explained ideas from another guy, socrates. In the republic plato recites the allegory of the cave. He also explains the analogy of the divided line. Socrates and Plato were really smart. In the allegory of the cave, there are four types of people. In the analogy of the divided line there are four types of cognition and four types of information.
i posted an explanation about this earlier that was removed to room 101 because it created such a stir. i also wrote a book about it, but I mainly just wanted people to question when I wrote the post that was thrown into 101 and when I wrote the book for that matter. Question.
I am a thought criminal for announcing questions and my idea about the cave. A kook named meph got really irate. The allegory of the cave suggests that when cave dwellers, I call trolls now, realize the theory of the cave, they usually lash out against the informers. Once one learns about the allegory of the cave, it is interesting to look at the prior removed questions, that were thrown at the end of thread 101 and the responses.

Spam!? I tried to spread the word about something creative I made that is pertinent to this website's foundation while at the same time presenting legit questions for discussion. Spam would lack questions and would not be pertinent to the subject at hand. The people that notice my multiple posts really need to learn what the "allegory of the cave" is because, well you'll see why if you question.
People have insulted their own intelligence by attacking one with questions for discussion.
I said his quotes make more frowns than my repitition. i didn't say anything about intelligence. He quoted a former crackhead who might as well be a comedian and a former crackhead comedian. It takes intelligence to write - and gather quotes. I was not insulting intelligence, you'll did that to yourselves by attacking me like machines for putting up questions. If I were to insult you I would call you institutionalized and intelligent.
I accept that I was spaming as I had minuscule hopes of selling a book. But clearly I am raising ideas for discussion that are relative to each forum as well. I believed that there were people on here that were into the ideas in 1984, not the rigidity of some make believe.

Yes, you were accused of posting spam, because you did.
Now, now - stop just a second before you go back to spouting off defensively. Look - you posted an advertisement not just once, but four separate times in four different areas. The messages did not change and the questions you asked were rhetorical. They were rhetorical because you did not seek answers to them in this forum - rather you posted them as part of your advertisement.
Now had you actually come here and posted questions in an effort to start a debate.. that's one thing. That, however, is not the course you chose. Instead, you came here and posted an advertisement and then became defensive when we called you on it.

Nobody here is telling you that you cannot come and post your thoughts. Hell, friend, if you want to advertise your book, fine - have at it. However, the least you could do is while shamelessly plugging yourself on the forums would be to actually start a real conversation, a real debate. You wrote a book - in doing, I personally would assume that you know quite a bit about whatever it was you wrote about. What is the book about? Why did you choose to cover those topics, where did you get your source material from? There are many different things you could have actually done, but instead you decided to ask a couple rhetorical questions and then plug yourself.
That, sir, is spam.

If I wanted to talk about something that was pertinent to both the Ethics areas and Language section, I would decide which area it best fit into and place it in one. Not both of them. If you want to start discussion, then please put real content into your message.
Now, understand:
I am not attacking your intelligence. I am asking that in the future you refrain from posting the same thing in four different areas on the board. I am asking that when you want to start a serious conversation, you do so by asking real questions that do not necessarily require us to buy your book to understand. You may actually pick up a few sales if you approach the situation by saying, "Hey, I wrote this book and this is what it's about. What do you guys think," in one forum rather four and came off as less defensive about it.
So, you should consider try again, but this time doing it right.

I see you found the quote, Yuri Andropov was quoted as reciting that couplet in the Stalin Era. Colorful ideas and vocab were the vogue but since the top poster and a few of the ex-mods got into an argument almost a year ago, it fell out of favor.
