I have begun work on a new website called http://www.deathworship.org which will include articles, links, and pages on anti-democratic and centrist movements and people.
The main forums for Deathworship will be for now Newspeak Dictionary due to its volume and base.
Additionally, Kirov, Kazooka, and myself have talked about the formation of a new group, one in which almost all ideologies are welcome. We don't have a name for it yet (I'm thinking of Democracy International or Democracy Initiative) but its goals are to extend democratic power in the free world, maintain the status quo if voted upon, but also, to create autonomous regions for anarchists, socialists, and communists if there's a sizeable minority. Such regions would exist in underpopulated areas so as not to subjugate the majority which will undoubtedly vote against it.
Democratic Socialism (as many of my friends here are), Far Leftism, Social Democracy, and others, can still exist. It can exist as a group affiliated and member to Democracy International. If we ever achieve any popular success, Democratic Socialism can exist in reality. By going it alone, we stand no chance of convincing the public our cause is just.
How do we convince the public to implement extensive democratic reforms? By educating them that such reforms will give them greater political powers, less apathy will result, and maybe we'll see more than a third of America actually voting.
Our goals are not to implement direct democracy. History has shown that major changes of society involving bureaucracy fairly work, even if the cause is just. Besides, most people are busy raising children, working, or watching TV. However, there will be undoubtedly direct democratic groups within Democracy International, and as a result, we will establish regions of direct democracy based on the votes of people by region, state, county, or nation.
I personally advocate the status quo augmented with serious reforms. Kirov is a socialist, Kazooka is an anarchist, and other people interested have a wide range of ideologies.
I say this without apology: fascism, totalitarianism, and any authoritarian movement is not welcome in our group. We can, as ideologies, and as people, take votes to see if we welcome or deny other groups. We can't just have a leadership and have it decide everything for us, because that's contrary to the purpose of this group.
I envision within Democracy International two branches of administration: by ideology, first; and by people, second. Just like the Congress of America balances population against ideology, we will do the same. I'm not sure how it will work, but there should be two Houses, a House of Ideologies and a House of Members, in that order. This will be done because if we just took mass votes to be our guide, people could vote to betray the anarchists just like the anarchists have always been betrayed by the socialists and communists. By giving one vote to each group within our group, and putting that House above the other, we give every ideology an equal voice.
If you are interested, please let me know. This isn't a socialist group, a communist group, or an anarchist group. We simply believe in principles of self-determination and autonomy for all people, cultures, and ethniticies. _________________

Uh...Mephi. Can you please tell the person who wrote "Singapore: Authoritarian Country" (Nemesis, was it) not to comment on Singapore? It is because that I am a doubleplusgood bellyfeeler of SIngSoc...Heck, no. Singapore tracking devices are the best. Anything remotely anti-PAP is easily found.
Even though I agree with him on many points, it is not prudent for him to get that message out on the net. Unless, of course, Nemesis has a secret base in California. _________________ For the greater good |

I'm being serious, of course. Nevermind; it's your website, your choice. _________________ For the greater good |
